Contestant Eligibility and Certification Agreement (Agreement)
By submitting a business plan to the CIE Business Plan Competition each contestant on the registration form agrees to the following conditions:
Eligibility and Composition of teams.
To participate in the CIE Business Plan Competition, a team must be registered using the on-line registration and a copy of the registration has been printed and delivered to the front desk of the School of Business on or before the published deadline. Teams may have up to 6 members per plan and, ideally, teams are composed of full-time students. However, teams may include non or part-time students up to 50% of the total team members.
Originality of Plan and Ownership of the idea.
The ideas and concepts set forth in a submitted business plan are the original work of the contestants. No contestant is under any agreement or restriction which may prohibit or restrict his or her ability to disclose or submit such ideas or concepts to the CIE Business Plan Competition. Plans will not be accepted if the business has already been developed, marketed (presented, solicited, offered, etc.) to an investor and already received funding or a promise of funding. The business plan has been written in accordance with the Business Plan Guidelines.
Agreement and Compliance.
Each Contestant must review this Agreement and by registering certifies that this entry to the competition and the team or individuals it represents complies with, and will abide by this Agreement.
